Christmas Advent- Day 5: Read the First Christmas Story

Day 5 fell on a Sunday.  I tried to do religious things on Sunday.  So this time we read

We spent almost an hour reading the story, asking the girls questions, and letting the girls ask questions.

I think it really helped them realize why we celebrate Christmas.

Ours is one of those heavy duty chipboard books, which is nice because the kids love to sit and "read" the story to each other.
