Let it Snow!...please?

Don't you just love winter?  Beautiful white snow, sledding, snowmen, hot cocoa, SNOW!  Growing up in Utah, snow was a Christmas staple.  But this year, NOTHIN'!  I'm talking jump-on-the-tramp-in-your-socks weather, people!  Kind of a let down.

So January comes along, and still, NOTHIN'!  The forecast for this week was snow, lots of it!  Yay!  But do you know what we got?  A skiff of snow, and lots and LOTS of rain.  Rain?!?  In January???  It's an abomination I tell you!

Whew!  Okay.  I'm done with my rant.  I've decided, instead, to give Mother Nature a little encouragement.
Mother Nature, meet the Golden Snowflake Book Page Wreath {because snow would be Golden right about now!}  Okay, I know.  Cheesy!  But I couldn't resist.

So I finally got around to making my very own book page wreath.  I have a never ending supply of books sent my way by my awesome aunt, so I thought I would put them to work.  This wreath took about 100 pages.  And I finally put the hot glue gun Santa brought me to work.  My last gun was low temp.  This one is high temp.  Let's just say my finger tips are a little sore as I type this!
The snowflakes were ornaments that I bought a couple years ago on After Christmas Clearance.
I didn't  used to be into gold, but it is kind of growing on me.
I used a Dollar Tree wreath frame, wrapped it in book pages, then hot glued 3 rows of book page cones.
I hung the wreath with blue and gold ribbon to pull it all together.
Don't mind the construction mess out in the sun room.  My hubby and father-in-law just finished redoing all of the windows out there.  Next up:  Basement Apartment!  Yay!
I'm thinking I may move it to the other side of the door, so that it is facing outside.
That way Mother Nature will see how beautiful snow could be! ;)
