So on to plan B. I would make the St Patrick's accessories for the Accessories Shirts. But when I pulled all the stuff out, I realized I was out of buttons.
Plan C was to share some posters that I am making for this year's Primary Program songs. I hit print and... Low INK!!! UHHHH! Why? Come on! Something has got to work for me today!
So, that leaves us with plan D. Here goes.
I took the photos for these cookies at Christmas time, hoping to share them as part of the Elf on the Shelf Advent, but things didn't work out back then. Maybe I will have a little luck with this today.
(like I said, these were taken back at Christmas time. So, sorry for the holiday plate!)
Sour Cream Cinnamon Sugar CookiesPreheat oven to 350 Degrees.
Combine:
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. coconut
In a separate bowl, mix together 3/4 c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Drop dough by the teaspoon into the cinnamon sugar, coat, and bake on un-greased pan for 10 minutes.
I hope you enjoy these as much as my family does. This was one of my Dad's favorites. :)
I guess I am off to make peace with the sewing machine...wish me luck!
